Janet Scott and Jane Ragsdale interview, 2003, February 27.

Scott and Ragsdale describe their backgrounds, their respective understandings of feminism, and their earlier careers. Then each describes their initial involvement in "In Other Words", a Missoula, Montana NPR women's radio program. They describe the various focuses of the program from explicit women's interest areas, to the environment, social justice, war, and education.

Born in Louisiana, blues guitarist and singer Johnny Copeland (1937-1997) was raised in Houston, Texas, where he formed the band Dukes of Rhythm. Although he recorded albums and performed with Sonny Boy Williamson and Bib Mama Thornton in Texas, Copeland only received recognition after moving to New York City in 1975.
